Dior is a French luxury goods brand chaired by Bernard Arnault, CEO of the largest luxury conglomerate in the world, LVMH. Founded in 1946 by French fashion designer Christian Dior, it currently offers watches, jewelry, leather goods, fragrances, footwear, and more. Although Dior is geared towards women, it has the Dior Homme division for men and the baby Dior label for kids. Despite its wide and varied portfolio, the company remains a haute-couture (handmade, custom-fitted clothing) for an upscale clientele. In 1947, fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar claimed that Dior’s first fashion collection was “such a new look!” The two lines on display were "Corolle" and "Huit," but quickly (and famously) became known as the New Look. This debut collection is credited with reviving the French fashion industry. Today, the label is a favorite of celebrities with ambassadors ranging from Charlize Theron to Robert Pattinson.
