Founded in 1887 by Georges Eberhard in La Chaux-de-Fond, Switzerland, Eberhard & Co is a luxury watchmaker with deep roots. Georges was only 22 when he founded the company. His family origins go back to the 10th century as instrumental in the development of Swiss watchmaking. Today, the brand has a diverse collection of mid-range chronographs, dive, and dress watches. Although lesser known among enthusiasts, these watches have a rich history. In the 1930’s, Eberhard & Co innovated with chronographs (double pulsating, flyback) and supplied them to the Italian Royal Navy. Women’s and dive watches were a focus in the 1950’s with renowned pieces like the 100m Scafograf diver further popularizing the brand. The Contograf, a diver/chronograph first developed in the 1960’s, is among the brand’s most popular lines today.
