Jewelry designer Gurhan came to his trade late in life, and it's been an opulent and spectacular ride ever since! Seeing a sheet of pure gold, he was transfixed by the beauty, warmth, and sensuality of this precious metal. The inspiration took hold and a series of magnificent fine jewelry collections has resulted. Purity remains a focus, with most necklace, earring, and bracelet designs in 24K yellow gold. Precious stones are an important design choice as well, with a huge range of colors and textures that create lively, luxurious, and unique pieces. Gurhan was commissioned to create a collection for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and he has almost single-handedly revived the traditions of ancient goldsmiths and applied modern techniques to make them relevant today.
